Nicole Carr (she/her) is a clinical social worker who earned her Master's Degree of Social Work from The Ohio State University, with a specialty in mental health and substance use. Prior to that, she completed here bachelor's degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Biology from Brigham Young University. Nicole has experience as a Behavioral Health Specialist on an inpatient psychiatry unit, where she worked with children and teens in crisis, addressing challenges such as suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and self-esteem issues.
Nicole believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and judgement-free space where clients feel seen and valued. Building trust and mutual respect is central to her work, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and emotions openly and from a neutral perspective.
Nicole takes an integrative approach, combining evidence-based strategies, holistic practices and creative tools to meet the unique needs of each individual. She is committed to upholding an inclusive environment that is LGBTQIA+ affirming and body-positive.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys caring for the environment through gardening and sustainable living. She also loves hiking, spending time with animals, practicing yoga, baking delicious treats and getting lost in a good book.
