Nicole Carr (she/her) is a master’s in social work student at the Ohio State University, specializing in mental health and substance abuse. Nicole received her undergraduate degree in human development with an emphasis in biology from Brigham Young University. Most recently, she worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist on an inpatient psychiatry unit. She has worked with many children and teens in crisis dealing with suicidal ideation, depression/anxiety, trauma, grief, and self-esteem issues.
Nicole is committed to creating a safe, secure, and non judgemental environment for her clients. She believes in therapeutic spaces that are LGBTQIA+ safe, and body positive. Nicole see’s every individual as deserving of love, respect, empathy, and acceptance.
Nicole is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. She utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, combining evidence-based strategies, holistic approaches, and creative interventions to meet each client’s individual needs.
Nicole believes that all people have the capacity to live meaningful, healthy, and fulfilling lives and that counseling can be helpful to reaching this potential. She works collaboratively with her clients to identify areas of growth and to develop the coping skills and strategies they need to make lasting positive change. She strives to make each client feel heard, respected, and valued.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys yoga, traveling, baking, hiking, reading, and gardening.
