Natalie Driggs (ACMHC-I) brings decades of experience and compassion to her work in mental health. With a strong foundation in the biopsychosocial field as a Child Life Specialist at Primary Children’s Medical Center, Natalie worked with children and families facing some of life’s most stressful challenges. As she supported families navigating life-threating difficulties, she learned that when it comes to providing care in times of distress, offering a calm, compassionate, and grounded presence is powerfully healing. As a therapist she draws from her professional and lived experience, remembering that the thing that really messes us up, is the story in our head of how things are supposed to be.
Natalie earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Utah and is currently completing her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands. She has developed and led psychoeducational groups for families with children affected by fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, grief groups for families that have lost a child, and an adoption support group. Her foundational approach to all types of therapy is deeply influenced by attachment theory and neuroscience. Additionally, her work is informed by the opposing forces of Buddhism and Stoicism that provide her with perspective and balance.
Outside of her clinical work, Natalie enjoys being with her partner of 30 years, their six children and teacup poodle, traveling the world, hiking, book clubs, karaoke, and going on long morning walks.
