Leaving
religion can be a disorienting, isolating, and painful experience. Whether you
have just begun experiencing a crisis of faith or it has been years since you
left your former religion, your life may have changed in numerous ways.
You may be experiencing a loss of community, changes to your relationships, a lack of trust in yourself, or a sense of meaninglessness. You may be wondering, “Where do I go from here?”
This group, based in existentialism and positive psychology, will provide an open, non-judgmental space to discuss your experience leaving religion. Connect with others who can relate to the complexities involved in a faith crisis and/or transition and share your unique perspectives with fellow group members who can empathize. The group will close by offering the opportunity to examine and define your individual values, equipping you with a basic framework for personal direction moving forward.
