Lauren Pasternak (she/her) is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Denver with bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Utah. She began her career in perinatal health research at the University of Utah and Brown University—with an emphasis on suicidality, postpartum depression, and health-related behaviors. These experiences strengthened her commitment to holistic and preventive mental health care. Lauren then worked as a psychiatric technician at Huntsman Mental Health Institute, connecting predominantly with teens and young adults. She recently completed her first-year internship supporting adolescents navigating gender transitions, neurodivergence, and depression.
Lauren brings a blend of lived experience, academic knowledge, and heartfelt presence to her work. By centering empathy, compassion, and empowerment, Lauren creates a trusting space where growth feels both grounded and possible. Her approach blends humor, authenticity, and creativity to create a healing, therapeutic environment tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys mountain biking, skiing, video games, and spending time outside with her partner and their dog, Watson.
