Kim is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She brings several years of experience working in residential treatment with adolescent girls navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, mood disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidality.
Through this work, Kim has learned the power of a regulated and compassionate presence and the importance of creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences. She is particularly passionate about trauma recovery and the ways early relational experiences shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world.
Her work is informed by attachment theory and trauma-informed care, and she is especially interested in approaches that help individuals process unresolved experiences and reconnect with the parts of themselves that carry pain, protection, and resilience.
