Gioia Johnson (she/her) is an intern therapist currently completing her Master of Social Work degree at Utah Valley University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University. Gioia has gained valuable experience working in diverse settings, including schools, residential treatment centers, crisis intervention, and with the unhoused population. She also has clinical experience working with individuals and couples.
Gioia specializes in tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based modalities to ensure effective and personalized care. She is passionate about normalizing mental health care and is a strong advocate for marginalized communities. With a particular interest in supporting individuals through faith transitions, she is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community. Gioia approaches therapy with compassion and a commitment to helping clients thrive, guiding them toward the happiness and healing they deserve.
