ATTICUS BROWN, ACMHC-I
MIDVALE LOCATIONS |  ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Atticus Brown Salt Lake Therapist

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and if you're nervous, that's completely normal. My hope is that you feel heard from the moment you sit down. I'm not here to hand you a fixed roadmap. I'm here to walk with you as you find the tools and self-trust already within reach. You are going to be okay. You don't have to figure this out alone, and if I'm not the right fit, I'll help you find someone who is. You are meant to be here.

Atticus Brown is a graduate clinician completing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with practicum experience at both a private practice setting and the Utah Department of Corrections, where he supports individuals as they transition back into daily life. He believes that presence, peace, and genuine happiness are not destinations but practices worth returning to every day, and he brings that same grounded, hopeful orientation into every session.

Atticus was raised within a religious culture he is deeply grateful for, and understands what it feels like to love where you come from while still working out where you fit within it. Time spent surfing and sailing in Hawaii and skiing mountain ranges shaped his belief that the body is sacred and that a fully felt life is one worth showing up for.

His clinical approach is grounded in the biopsychosocial model and draws on trauma-informed care, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, addiction counseling, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy integration. He enjoys working with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and questions of identity and faith. His hope for every client is simple: that they leave sessions with more tools, more presence, and a deeper capacity to experience the joy this life is already offering.

"In our first sessions, my goal is simple: to really get to know you. Not just the problem that brought you in, but who you are underneath it. I believe connection is where healing starts, connection to yourself, to what matters to you, to something larger than the struggle you're carrying.

You are not broken. You already carry everything you need to heal. My job isn't to fix you. It's to help you remember what's already there and clear the way so you can access it. When things feel overwhelming, we slow down together until you find solid ground again.

If you're considering reaching out, know this: you don't need to have it all figured out first. You just need to show up." -Aticus Brown, ACMHC-I
