Dr. Andrea Charles, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, was born and raised in the LC Valley. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lewis-Clark State College and earned her graduate degree in Social Work from Boise State University. She then pursued her Doctorate in Social Work at Simmons University, focusing her research on rural social work.

Since 2013, Andrea has been providing psychotherapy and currently holds active therapy licenses in both Washington State and Idaho. She is an approved clinical supervisor in both states. As an EMDR Consultant-in-Training, she offers reduced-cost EMDR consultations, supporting fellow clinicians in their professional development.Dr. Andrea Charles holds certifications in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Adlerian Therapy. She specializes in treating individuals aged 18 and older who have experienced trauma and PTSD. Dr. Charles also enjoys collaborating with clinicians who focus on adult trauma and PTSD. Her supervisory approach mirrors her therapeutic style, emphasizing relational therapy. She believes that the relationship between supervisor and clinician is paramount, and it should be comfortable and mutually beneficial.
