All medications, including controlled and uncontrolled substances, will be kept in their original packaging in the safe that meets federal and state standards for the secure storage of controlled substances. A log will be kept in the safe to document and track the amount of controlled medication that is dispensed for each client and to verify inventory. Only the prescribing and administering providers, as well as approved administrative staff will have access to medication storage.
