As a military spouse for over 20 years, an immigrant, and a person that has encountered many of life's challenges, I know that we don't always choose what has happened to us. Sometimes on our journey, we encounter experiences that cause tremendous pain, depression, trauma, and anxiety. I would love to explore your story with you and create a therapeutic relationship that empowers you as a person and leads to healing and personal growth.
I believe in an authentic, honest, and empathetic therapeutic relationship. I use a holistic approach to support my clients in their unique goals towards healing. My therapeutic approach, coupled with my empathetic nature and honed
skills, benefit individuals across all stages of life,
as well as couples and families.

Sara Matuszak is a third-year master’s level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Liberty University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology: Addiction and Recovery from Liberty University.
Sara operates from the premise that each person is unique with their own personal story that is affected by life’s experiences. She has lived in various countries, and most recently moved to Utah from Japan a few months ago. Sara understands the effect cultural experiences and differences can have on a person, and she provides a safe and accepting space for people of all cultures and ethnicities. She has experienced working with women that have suffered domestic, sexual, and physical abuse, as well as adolescents working through various trauma, addictions, depression, and adjustments to a new culture and/or changes in their family dynamics.
