Nathan Breinholt is a Master’s level intern completing his Social Work Degree at Boise State University. He received his Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Utah and has been working in social services since 2014. Nathan has had varied experience with adults, teenagers, and children from in-home, outpatient, and residential levels of care. He has worked with people struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, emotional regulation, and homelessness.
Nathan loves aiding people in adapting from their difficult situations. Through his person-centered approach, he encourages clients to find their inner strength to overcome life’s challenges. Nathan works holistically with clients to build a strong foundation based on their own values and principles, so future struggles feel more manageable. Nathan will work to establish a therapeutic alliance so he can best offer you a safe and compassionate space to work on your mental health.
Although school and work keep him very busy, Nathan tries to squeeze in as much family time as possible. He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and two dogs at any body of water nearby. During the winter, he bides his time until summer with a mug of tea or hot cocoa.
