Jessica Carlisle is a Master’s level intern. She is completing her Advanced Standing Master of Social Work degree at The Ohio State University. Jessica received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Utah Valley University.
Recently, she interned at Provo Peaks Elementary in Provo City School District. While there, Jessica worked in a psychoeducational group setting with students struggling with anxiety, family changes, and emotional regulation by helping them to embrace their circumstances and be able to recognize and handle their emotions in healthy, positive ways. Jessica also worked as a residential supervisor in a residential treatment facility for adolescents living with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has worked primarily with youth and loves to learn from her clients and help them to understand their worth, recognize their strengths, and teach them the tools needed to access their self-determination and self-efficacy. Jessica believes in the client-therapist relationship and is passionate about meeting each individual where they are.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, taking walks in nature, and reading.
