Jessica Carlisle American Fork Therapist
"Life doesn't make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all." - Erik Erikson

"The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently." - Pema Chödrön
I believe that each person has individual strengths that shape who they are, and that everyone deserves a safe haven to go to to help unveil just how worthy they are of love and belonging. I hope to guide my clients to a place of self-acceptance and self-love by connecting first with oneself, and then to those around them.

Jessica Carlisle is a Master’s level intern. She is completing her Advanced Standing Master of Social Work degree at The Ohio State University. Jessica received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Utah Valley University.

Recently, she interned at Provo Peaks Elementary in Provo City School District. While there, Jessica worked in a psychoeducational group setting with students struggling with anxiety, family changes, and emotional regulation by helping them to embrace their circumstances and be able to recognize and handle their emotions in healthy, positive ways. Jessica also worked as a residential supervisor in a residential treatment facility for adolescents living with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has worked primarily with youth and loves to learn from her clients and help them to understand their worth, recognize their strengths, and teach them the tools needed to access their self-determination and self-efficacy. Jessica believes in the client-therapist relationship and is passionate about meeting each individual where they are.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, taking walks in nature, and reading.
