Carol Erekson Midvale Therapist
“I believe that healing is possible for all people even when they do not believe it for themselves. Whether the challenges you face are depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, work or school stress, major life shifts or something else, I want you to know that you do not need to do this on your own. The thing that brings me joy is to watch others not only survive their struggles, but discover how to thrive in new ways and achieve the life they desire and deserve.”
Carol Erekson is a Master’s level intern completing her degree in Social Work from Utah State University. She has felt like a social worker all her life, as she has always been drawn to advocate and offer support to those in need. Carol received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Utah.  She recently completed an internship with Quality Youth Services working with a diverse population of youth and adults. This experience gave her a unique opportunity to work with adolescents struggling with difficult transitions and family relationships.

Carol believes that everyone deserves to live a life where they are safe, supported and valued. She seeks to help clients grow in their family and social relationships, learn new coping skills, and provide support and a safe space as they move through their personal journey. It is her goal as a social worker to welcome each client with dignity, respect and without judgment. She believes that therapy can provide the space and guidance to make meaning out of the most painful lived experiences when it is collaborative, intentional and aligned specifically to each individual client’s needs.  Her passion is to provide hope to others as they create the life they would like to achieve.

Her holistic approach to therapy comes from a belief that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach and should be approached in partnership with the client. She would like to see her clients thrive, not just survive.
