Amy Allen Salt Lake Therapist
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” -Maya Angelou.
I want to provide a safe space for my clients to tell their story so they can find meaning, empowerment and peace. Together, we can rewrite the parts that need to be rewritten and let go of the parts that are no longer needed.

Amy Allen is currently a doctoral student in the psychiatric nurse practitioner program at the University of Utah. She has worked as a mental health nurse for the last eight years. She spent three years working on an inpatient adolescent unit in Utah county and then worked another three years in an outpatient mental health clinic in South Jordan. Most recently, she lived in New York City and worked for a company that provided housing for those who were chronically homeless. She was able to work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma.

Amy is very passionate about therapy and has a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults. She values helping individuals find their voice and to empower them to create the life that is the most authentic to them. It is important to her that each individual she sees feels heard, empowered and cared for.

Amy practices at the Salt Lake County location.
