CRYSTAL PEAY, CSW-I
“I have found that the greatest joy in life comes from accompanying others on their journey of self-discovery, exploration, and healing. While this journey is certainly not easy and it may feel at times there is no light at the end of the tunnel, I firmly believe that each and every person has tremendous worth and immense potential in cultivating positive change. Therefore, I am devoted in empowering and helping others to rediscover their worth and their immense potential, working in a collaborative way to build upon existing strengths to create the life they want for themselves.”
Crystal Peay is a deeply compassionate and empathetic Master’s level intern pursuing her Social Work degree from the University of Utah. Crystal has received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Utah Valley University and has worked over five years with adolescents in residential treatment who struggle from a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance-abuse, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, mood disorders and behavioral problems. Additionally, Crystal has worked with adults in addiction recovery where she helped clients connect with community resources and taught positive coping strategies to assist in her client’s recovery process.

As a result of her experience, Crystal uses a strengths-based, person-centered approach as she believes that everyone has the capacity to fulfill their vast potential and create lasting, positive change, no matter the circumstances. She values working collaboratively with her clients by addressing the unique needs and goals of each individual, helping them to learn and practice new skills and adopt heathy habits that promote a more meaningful life experience.

Crystal prides herself in her ability to engage clients on multiple levels. She strives to create a space where individuals can feel heard, understood, and supported as well as gain skills needed to heal, increase self-confidence and achieve their goals.
