Chelsea has a passion for helping children, adolescents and adults in reaching their full potential and getting back to living life. She has worked extensively with children as young as three and their parents in acquiring skills to work through emotional and behavioral concerns, autism spectrum disorders, and trauma and attachment related issues. She has written extensively on the use of music therapy with childhood disorders.
Chelsea also specializes in providing trauma-informed services, serving individuals with a variety of presentations including trauma and attachment based disorders, women’s issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety.
Chelsea completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Bellevue University and earned her bachelor’s degree in music performance and psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. She also completed postgraduate work in music therapy at the University of Iowa, holds board certification as a music therapist, and has worked as a music therapist since 2008. She is adept at incorporating music and other creative therapeutic arts into treatment where appropriate. In addition to working in the health service industry, Chelsea has worked as a professional musician. Chelsea practices in the Salt Lake County office.
